From the budding water leaders of tomorrow
Curated by Eklavya Prasad for Water Works! - 5 session
A voluntary initiative is underway to develop a public understanding of groundwater in Dhanbad city. To pursue this, a comprehensible participatory action research on urban groundwater (PARUG) surrounding various aspects (character, use, dynamics, and challenges) is being undertaken by the students of Carmel School, Dhanbad (also known as the Gang of 20 - G of 20). The intent behind PARUG is to involve youth in developing appropriate and contextual strategies for groundwater management in the city. The school students are being helped by members of Megh Pyne Abhiyan (MPA), Delhi; Advanced Centre for Water Resources Development and Management (ACWADAM), Pune;and Biome Trust, Bengaluru.
This presentation will be made by members of the Gang of 20, and they are going to share their experiences so far...
