A recording of Fin whales, Balaenoptera physalus, made by the hydrophone installed on the MARS platform at Smooth Ridge in the Monterey Bay, early on the morning of December 31st, 2015. Playback has been adjusted to twice normal speed, so that it may be audible.

Be advised: even at 2x normal speed, these sounds are at very low frequency, and you will need good bass response on your speakers to hear them. A good sub-woofer is highly recommended.
